Greetings from ISSS!
Thank you for your interest in coming to Bridgewater State University as an Exchange Visitor/student for one or two semesters. BSU has several strong partnership agreements and each year, we welcome approximately 60 exchange students on J-1 visas. Some of you will want to come here for one year and others will want to explore the one semester option. We are happy to support both.
Please review, complete, and submit all the forms for exchange students. They contain valuable information on the application process, required documents and important deadlines. The factsheet answers most questions. Information on how to apply for a J-1 visa and other issues can be found at http://j1visa.state.gov/
I strongly encourage you to consider applying to live in the Global Village, a new Residential Learning Community that was launched in the Fall of 2013. The Directors of the Minnock Center for International Engagement (MCIE) and other university educators are looking forward to supporting your growth and contributions to BSU. Please click here http://bridgew.edu/residential-learning-communities to learn more about the mission and goals of the Global Village.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions.
We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant campus.
